Report for February 2006

February was a complicated month, with lots of activity. Additional shares have been bought in African Platinum and F&C Multi-manager Unit Trust. All our shares in Vodaphone have been sold, and our total holding in O2 liquidated for cash on takeover. We have given a member £500 as a grant.

The stock market was stationary overall but our holdings gained 2%. Speedy Hire have done particularly well this month (a gain of 11%) and several other stocks showed good gains. Reuters was the poorest performer, falling 10% over the month.

There are no shares approaching our Sharewatch Alert-threshold and only two are down since the AGM, and they have only fallen fractionally. Things are looking buoyant.

Offsetting the grant against the portfolio gain, the Unit Value has fallen by 0.8% this month.
