Report for March 2010
March showed a further 7% rise in the FTSE100, and our portfolio rose with it. BHP Billiton led the way for us with a 13% rise (and produced a dividend payment of £14), and our Gartmore European Selected Opportunties fund rose 12% too.
We purchased units in three new funds: Neptune US opportunities, Schroder US mid-cap, and Cazenove European B.
We received a windfall repayment of a previous grant, which put up our Unit Value by 12%. The stock-market rise added a further 5%, leaving the Unit Value at 129.1, the highest it has ever been.
